An aspirant in the April 20 governorship primary election of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, Senator Jimoh Ibrahim, has resolved to challenge the exercise that produced Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa as the party’s candidate for the November 16 poll in court.

Ibrahim, who also serves as the senator representing Ondo South at the National Assembly, was among the six aspirants who filed petitions with the party’s Appeal Committee, headed by former Governor of Bauchi State, Abubakar Muhammed, against the outcome of the poll.

The petitioners expressed dissatisfaction with the way the party conducted the poll and sought a fresh election.

However, Muhammed’s committee dismissed their petitions as baseless and unfounded.

His legal team, numbering about eight, is headed by Chief Chris Uche, SAN, Chief Michael Aondoakaa, SAN, and Gordy Uche, SAN.

The document indicated that the senator will be filing the case at a Court in Abuja, with the APC, Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, and the Independent National Electoral Commission as the defendants.
