The Dangote Group has allayed fears over a reported fire outbreak at the Dangote Refinery in Lagos State this afternoon.
In a statement issued on its social media handles, the company described the incident as a minor fire at its effluent treatment plant.
The statement reads, “We have swiftly contained a minor fire incident at our effluent treatment plant (ETP) today, Wednesday, 26th June.
“There is no cause for alarm as the refinery is operating, and there is no recorded injury or harm to any of our staff on duty.”
