The Federal High Court in Kano on Thursday reinstated Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero as the Emir of Kano State.
The court nullified all actions taken by the Kano State Government to repeal the Kano Emirates Council Law.
In his ruling, Justice Abdullahi Muhammad Liman set aside the Kano government’s actions and ordered all parties to maintain the status quo.
With this judgment, Muhammad Sanusi II has been dethroned, while Aminu Ado Bayero is now the recognized Emir of Kano.
