A female student of Adekunle Ajasin University Akungba Akoko (AAUA) in Ondo State, identified as Modupe Ayandare, was found dead this morning in Akungba, in the Akoko South West local government area of the state.

The deceased was a 500-level student of the Agronomy Department, Faculty of Agriculture.

News Eyes Daily gathered that Miss Ayandare was found dead around 4 a.m. on Monday in a white garnet church cloth.

An unconfirmed source said she left her hostel for a vigil on Sunday night and allegedly committed suicide while returning from the church program.

However, a video shared on X (formerly known as Twitter) by a popular user, @YemieFash, suggested that the deceased might not have committed suicide.

YemieFash stated, “The circumstances surrounding her death look very suspicious; video and eyewitness accounts show that she did not commit suicide as presumed.

“I am calling on the @OndopoliceNG to critically investigate this matter, as this looks more like a case of murder.”

The Ondo State Police Command, while responding to @YemieFash’s post on X, confirmed the incident had been reported at the Akungba Police Division.
