ONDO 2024: PDP EXPRESSES READINESS FOR TOMORROW’S GUBER PRIMARY POLL

  • As seven aspirants battle for party ticket

All is now set for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ondo State Chapter governorship primary election on Thursday, April 25th, 2024.

Already, seven-man election committee has been inaugurated by the party National Working Committee and the committee is headed by the Bayelsa State Deputy Governor, Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo.

Seven aspirants have been cleared by the Senator Sam Egwu Screening Committee to run in the primary elections. 

These aspirants are Otunba Bamidele Akingboye, Hon. Agboola Ajayi, Chief Sola Ebiseni, John Ola Mafo, Adeolu Akinwumi, Bosun Arebuwa, and Kolade Akinjo.

A statement signed by its state publicity secretary, Kennedy Ikantu Peretei, “the primary will take place at the International Culture and Events Centre (The Dome), Akure. 

“627 delegates from the state’s 18 Local Government Areas are expected to choose the party’s standard-bearer for the November 16, 2024 governorship election.

The accreditation of delegates will begin at 10:00 a.m. Non-delegates and those with no official business at the venue should keep a reasonable distance from the arena.”
