Three APC governorship aspirants in Ondo state; Wale Akinterinwa, Jimi Odimayo, and Hon. Gbenga Edema have separately lodged complaints with the Appeal Committee regarding the outcome of the primary poll held last Saturday.

The committee, chaired by former governor of Bauchi State, Abubakar Muhammed, confirmed receipt of the petitions.

Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa was declared the winner of the primary, securing 42,035 votes in the direct mode election.

However, the three aspirants are appealing for the poll to be cancelled on the ground that there was no election in any of the 203 ward.

They urged the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) to order a fresh primary.

Muhammed stated that the committee will be in Ondo state for the next twenty-four hours to address any further appeals.

He clarified that only aspirants who took part in the primary election are eligible to submit appeals to the committee.
