On Monday, the Executive members of Ganjude Ward in DawakinTofa local government area of Kano State announced the suspension of the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Abdullahi Ganjude, from the party.

In an address read to journalists by the ward Legal Adviser, Haladu Gwanjo, it was stated that Ganduje’s suspension was due to gross misconduct and misappropriation of public funds during his administration in Kano.

Although the APC National Secretariat has yet to react to this suspension, reports indicate that the party’s leadership is studying the body language of the Presidency before taking a step.

However, with Ganduje’s suspension, any activities conducted by the party from today onward are considered illegal.

The APC governorship primary election in Ondo State is scheduled for Saturday (April 20). If Ganjude’s suspension is not lifted by his ward executive or a competent court, and the election proceeds on Saturday, it will be declared illegal.
